Next Step membership offers an array of important printed and online resources, up-to-the-minute information on issues of critical importance to the lives of people with disabilities, opportunities to share personal and professional expertise with other activists, family members, professionals and community members working together to achieve social change for people who have disabilities and other devalued communities.
As a member you'll receive:
Opportunities to identify and interact with others who share particular interests, expertise, or experiences.
Substantially reduced rates to attend~exciting conferences and advocacy trips throughout the country. Join other activists as they gather to meet and exchange ideas and information on aspects of social change and political justice for people who have disabilities and other devalued groups around the world.
Next Step Updates: a newsletter sent on a monthly basis. NEXT STEP Updates is full of the information you need. The newsletter also includes stories written by members, and provides an opportunity for you as a member to share your story with others.
Current information on critical legislative, public policy, and best practice issues.
Next Step's web site, supplying members with the latest information on current issues in the disabilities field and providing important links to other disability resources worldwide.

Next Step offers several levels of memberships.
Voting Member ($10) :
Next Step is an organization of by and for people with disabilities. Because it is, voting memberships are limited to people with disabilities who share its values and want a voice in its decisions. Because 80% of people with disabilities are poor, the annual membership fee for a Voting Member is $10.00.
Supporting Member ($25) :
Next Step welcomes the support of others who share its commitment to social and economic justice and who understand why it is important that people with disabilities control the organization through which they struggle for that justice. The annual membership fee for a Supporting Member is $25.00.
Organizational Member ($100) :
Next Step works in coalition with organizations that share its commitment to social and economic justice globally or to specific goals for social change. It affiliates itself with those organizations and offers them the opportunity to reciprocate. The annual fee for Organizational Members is $100.00.
Our Donation Policy:
Each dollar that you give to Next Step will go directly to our constituents and improving the quality of our work. We are currently seeking funding for a variety of projects, including a technology campaign so that our members who cannot travel can still participate in Next Step. We are also developing a magazine written by people with disabilities for people with disabilities. With your generous contributions, we will be able to grow our group and provide employment and leadership opportunities for our members. Donate today and help create a more equitable future for people with disabilities.
